Nice hotel and clean

Very nice hotel, and breakfast was really good in the morning. We booked this as it was on the canal, and we had seen the location when doing a boat trip on a previous booking. Room was larger than what you would normally get in a hotel of this type, and had all the facilities you would need. Staff were friendly and we had no problems during our stay. We walked into Skipton along the canal to get a meal in the evening which was very pleasant, and is just over a mile, so about a 20 minute walk which we really enjoyed.

The hotel is very nice and well presented. Stayed in a suite which was very nice, although as it is open plan, it wouldn't be everyone's choice of room options. WiFi was excellent, which was great as i was travelling for business.

Room was spacious, bed was very comfy and the little touch of soap and body wash was was lovely. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and replenished daily. Lovely soft fluffy towels and sparkling white bed linen. Breakfast choices were really good and the full English section had a good selection to help yourself. Table service of toast and tea was excellent. Location of hotel was good with beautiful scenery and the town of Skipton was easily reached by walking along the towpath.

Restaurant overlooking canal was beautiful, buffet breakfast was excellent. The view of the canal and surrounding fields is very pretty and tranquil. We booked a canal facing room, so the view was stunning. Access to the leisure swimming pool next door to hotel was good. The pool was like the hotel, a little dated and need of modernisation, but was still very nice and added to our stay. Staff where nice, friendly, welcoming and overall faultless. Checking In and out was easy and they phoned a taxi for us to go into town with no problems what so ever.
